Chapter Vision, Mission and Goals

VISION

SME Chapter 304 strives to be recognized by the community for its professional development of its members and local industry, and for the support of manufacturing-related education at all levels.

MISSION

SME Chapter 304 will support SME International`s mission and its local membership which cosist of consultants, engineers, entrepreneures, managers, and sales professionals with an interest in manufacturing. The chapter serves:

(i) individual manufacturing professionals,

(ii) area college students in the manufacturing discipline, and

(iii)area high school students.

The chapter will:

(i)offer professional development opportunities to individual manufacturing professionals,

(ii)enhance the interest of college students in manufacturing,and

(iii)motivate high school students to pursue manufacturing education and carrers.

GOALS

1.1 Increase the recognition and value of SME certification by area employers.

1.2 Increase the percentage of members who are SME-certified.

1.3 Increase participation in chapter activities.

2.1 Increase percentage participation of college students in chapter activities.

3.1 Identify the percentage of High school students choosing career paths leading to manufacturing.

3.2 Increase annual percentage of High school students choosing career paths leading to manufacturing.
