An Introduction to the principles of economics as they relate to
individual segments of the society. Emphasis will be placed upon scarcity,
supply and demand, consumer behavior, business firms and market
structures.

An introduction to the principles of economics as they apply to the
economy as a whole. National income determination, inflation,
unemployment, monetary and fiscal policies, and the basics of
international economic relations are covered.

In addition, 6 hours of Social Science elective courses
and 6 hours of Humanities elective courses are required. Of these, at
least 3 hours should be a Global Studies course and 3 hours should be an
African-American Studies course. See Electives section for more details.
