ELEN 200 Electrical Circuit Analysis 3(3-0)
Resistive circuit analysis, application of Kirchoff's Laws, Loops and Nodal Analysis, Thevenins and Norton's, etc., to resistive circuits with DC sources; also transient and steady state solutions to first and second order linear systems in the time and frequency domains. Prerequisite: GEEN 102, Corequisite: MATH 231.
MEEN 335 Mechanics I, Statics 3(3-0)
Basic vector concepts of forces, moment of a force, analytical and graphical techniques in the analysis of forces and moment; conditions of equilibrium in frames, trusses, machine members under static loads; laws of friction; distributed forces, determination of centroid, mass center, and area.
MEEN 336 Strength of Materials 3(3-0)

Analysis of stress and strain; stress-strain relations; applications; torsional and flexural loadings; flexural deflections; combined loading: columns.  Prerequisite:  MEEN 335

MEEN 441 Fundamentals of Thermodynamics 3(3-0)
This is a basic course in fundamental thermodynamic principles.  The topics covered include:  energy, heat and work, thermodynamic properties of substances; real and ideal gases; first and second laws of thermodynamics from a macroscopic viewpoint.  Prerequisites:  Math 231; CHEM 101; PHYS 242
