Industry Experience:

1. Boeing Commercial Airplane Company (1978 - 1982).

2. Has served as a consultant to local companies that include ConvaTec, Braton International, Panel Concepts and Kaplan.

Faculty Profile:

After working four years with Boeing Commercial Airplane Company, Dr. Park joined North Carolina A&T State University in 1983.  

He has initiated and developed a successful interdisciplinary manufacturing program at the College of Engineering and is currently the Director of the Manufacturing Initiatives which is developing and implementing an inter-disciplinary manufacturing program at University. 

Dr. Park has been working with Dr. Celestine Ntuen to develop the Human-Machine Systems Engineering Program in the Department.  

Dr. Park, as the Department Chairperson, also organized three international conferences in the area of  Human-Computer Interface.  

He has also attracted many research projects in the areas of 

• Manufacturing

• Human-Machine Systems

• Artificial Intelligence (mostly in Planning and Expert System Development)  

• Computer Vision (mostly in Statistical Pattern Recognition)  

Dr. Park has been the Chairperson of the Industrial Engineering Department since 1990.
