Faculty Profile:
Dr.
Mountjoy came to NCA&T after serving nine years in industry, working
primarily on U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
He worked for over two years
with Anthropology Research Project, Incorporated, where he performed
traditional and three-dimensional anthropometric measurements and data analysis
for U.S. Army and Air Force clothing, workspace, and personal protective
equipment design projects.
As a
Human Factors Engineer with Sytronics, Incorporated, the focus of his work
switched to cognitive human factors issues, particularly those associated with
the Army Research Laboratory's Federated Laboratory for Advanced Displays and
Interactive Displays consortium.
His
primary responsibilities included the development and administration of
knowledge acquisition tools, and exploration of advanced display technologies to
increase battlefield commanders' situation awareness and decision making
capabilities.
Dr. Mountjoy teaches
courses including Methods Engineering, Principles of Ergonomics, and Design of
Experiments.
