     CONTINUING EDUCATION

The University has two methods to assist with continued education of those in the work-force.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Individuals may want to enroll in undergraduate or graduate classes  being offered by the Department.

Qualified nontraditional as well as traditional students may participate in the classes.

This process is administered by the University Office of Continuing Education and Summer School.

  • Spring schedules are released each October;

  • Fall and Summer schedules are released each March.

ON SITE OPPORTUNITIES

In many cases, the need for area companies is not the extended education of an individual, but the training of group of people in a shorter, seminar format.

The Department and the University provide this service as well.  For elaborate organization of training service, the Office of Continuing Education and Summer School is available to assist administratively.

For straightforward training opportunities, the Department can plan and present professional seminars on-site.

  • For some seminars, Professional Development Hours for engineering registration may be given.

  • Seminars may be presented gratis with the participation of your company in a scholarship or laboratory fund.

  • Seminar modules may be custom developed from the broad scope of Industrial Engineering.
