Clinic Operations

Test Available

We offer comprehensive laboratory services to students of the university. These services include hematology, chemistry profiles, STD testing, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, pregnancy testing and a host of other specialty protocols. Samples for other necessary test not routinely performed at the Student Health Center are collected at our facility and then outsourced to a reference lab for testing.

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

Laboratory Prices

Laboratory services are provided at a minimal cost to students. These charges are not included in the student's general health fee.  If you have questions concerning prices of services please ask at the time of your visit or you may call (336) 334-7880 to find out specific pricing.

Payments

Payment is due at the time of service by cash, check, MC/VISA, Aggie One Card or students may charge the fee to their student account.  Students with the university insurance are not required to make payment at the time of service. The Student Health Center files the claim directly with the insurance company. Students with outside insurance pay a $10.00 collection fee for any specimen sent out to a reference Lab. Laboratory Results

The results on most of the routine tests performed in-house are made available to the providers while the student waits. Reference labs take 24 hrs to a week to process results, depending on what test was ordered.

Accreditation

The laboratory is accredited by Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) and participates in a Proficiency Testing programs with the College of American Pathology (CAP).
