Clinic Operations
We provide a daily walk-in screening clinic for our students. The nursing staff will assess medical problems and, if necessary, students will be seen by the staff physician. The physician may refer a student to a local full-service hospital or private physician for consultation or evaluation. Naturally, there will be an additional fee for these services. This expense is the responsibility of the student and is not covered by the standard health fee. Therefore, students are strongly advised to purchase health insurance that will adequately cover unexpected medical expenses.
Hours of Operation
Physicians Hours: Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
(Physicians are on call 16 hours a day for emergency consultations)
If a medical situation or crisis should occur after 9:00 p.m. students are advised to call 911 or contact campus police at (336) 334-7675. Students are responsible for medical bills incurred as a result of services rendered outside of the student health center.
