The Post-Baccalaureate Studies program is designed to allow non-degree seeking
students
the opportunity to take courses for self improvement, professional development or for
teaching licensure without completing the entire admission process.
In this status, students
are not admitted to an academic program but may be allowed to transfer up to 12
semester
hours towards a graduate degree. PBS students deciding later to pursue a degree must
apply and be admitted to an academic program through the School of Graduate Studies
as a
degree-seeking student. This process requires PBS students to complete the entire
admission
process for degree-seeking students.
The School of Graduate Studies and the academic departments reserve the right to
accept or
reject towards a degree program credits earned in a PBS status. In addition, some
academic
courses are restricted to degree-seeking students.
