Scholarship Application Procedures
Prospective “AGGIES”
There are scholarship funds offered for selected incoming students who have been admitted to the university! There is no application process for new students, freshman, or Transfer students to apply for university scholarships. However new students only need to complete the admission process and be granted admission to the university. The Admissions Office will initiate the scholarship process by referring the names of all new students that have been admitted and who also meet the scholarship requirements to their respective Deans Office and the University Scholarship Office for further scholarship consideration. The University will send a letter of notification to selected recipients.
To be considered for a university-level scholarship new students must meet the following minimum requirements: Be admitted to the university; have a minimum 3.0 GPA; have a SAT Composite Score of 1000 (Verbal & Math) or higher or ACT Composite of 23 (Verbal & Math) or higher; All interested students are encourage to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This form can be completed on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov . The priority date for completing the FAFSA is March 15th of each year. (The school code for NC A&T is 002905). Transfer Students with 30 or more transferable hours and at least a 3.0 GPA are not required to submit SAT and/or ACT Scores to be considered for a scholarship.
The university-level scholarships are awarded primarily on academic merit with some consideration given to the student's financial need. Currently Enrolled "AGGIES"
The application for currently enrolled students to apply for any possible institutional scholarships is our University Scholarship Application. It is recommended that a student complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Priority will be given to those students that apply with FAFSA before March 15th. The scholarship application must be returned to the Scholarship Office at the Dowdy Building, 1601 E. Market Street Greensboro, NC 27411. Please take note of the application deadline to be considered for scholarships.
Fall Semester Deadline September 15th
Spring Semester Deadline February 15th
These institutional scholarships are primarily based on academic merit with a consideration to the student’s financial need. Chosen applicants will receive a written notification of a scholarship award from the Scholarship office. For currently enrolled students there is a 3.0 minimum GPA requirement for consideration. Chosen applicants vary depending on funding availability and the pool of qualified applicants.
