COMP 322 INTERNET SYSTEMS: Fall 2009

The solutions to Exam 2 are now available on the class website.

The slides on Accessing a Database from the Web became unavailable somehow over the weekend. They're now available again on Blackboard. You have to consult these slides for Assignment 7.

On the final, you are responsible for the following material.

• The notes through section 19.4 (Adding and Deleting Array Elements) except Part 18 (PHP File Operations) and sub-section 9.1.4 [This corresponds to the slides through slide 54 of Segment 12, skipping Segment 11 and slides 12-13 of Segment 12.]
• Appendix B (MySQL Tutorial)
• Slides 1-61 of the slides entitle "Accessing a Database from the Web"

You are not responsible for

• Part 19 from section 19.5 on
• Part 20 (Code Reuse and Functions)
• The slides on object-oriented PHP (PHP classes)
• The material on AJAX
• Appendix A (WampServer Installation)

A set of slides in now available that reviews how to get the HTTP protocol and the server involved in executing scripts (even when you don't go out on the Internet). You can no longer just double click the icon!

In Blackboard, under Course Documents, under Summaries, two documents have been added: "Summary of the DOM Object Model" and "Summary of the DOM Event Model."
Under Slides (again under Course Documents) there is a new set of slides "Example: Building an Addition to the Document Tree." This further illustrates one of the examples in Part 13 (" HTML and the DOM") of the Notes.
