Research Study Participants

The Compliance Office recognizes the importance of your decision to participate in a research study.  Participation in a study is voluntary and you may choose not to participate at any time and your present or future relations with North Carolina A&T State University will not change in any way.  Leaving the study will not result in any penalty or loss of benefit to which you are entitled.  If you decide to stop participating in a health-care related study, you are encouraged to discuss your decision with your doctor.

If you have any questions regarding the study, the study investigator will provide you with a way to contact them.  You may contact them anytime during the study. 

If you cannot reach the investigator or you wish to talk to someone other than the research investigator about the study you may call the Research Compliance Office at (336) 334-7995.

If you have any questions about your rights as a research subject or concerns or complaints about the research study in which you are a participating, please contact the Compliance Office at (336) 334-7995.  All calls will be confidential and if you choose, anonymous.
