School Policies on Approval of Research Projects Involving Students

Any human subjects research projects involving children (less than 18 years of age) through the local school systems must be approved by the school system in addition to NC A&T's Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Researchers may simultaneously submit their IRB application while awaiting approval from the school system. This process applies to both student and faculty research projects. Please contact the appropriate representative to ensure the policy linked here is still current prior to your submissions.

Proof of the school system's approval must be sent to the IRB through the Compliance Office.
