Each Cluster is led by two or three research faculty members who drive development of research cluster programs. These Cluster co-leads have the expertise to direct Cluster activities and to engage other faculty. Co-leads are currently spearheading cohesive, comprehensive, synergistic programs that lead to the development of interdisciplinary proposals and funding opportunities.

The Research Clusters allow the University to more effectively focus its capabilities, match the requirements of funding agencies, support interdisciplinary research and provide opportunities for faculty participation in sponsored programs.

For more information about a particular Cluster area contact the Office of Research Services at (336) 334-7995 or divofres@ncat.edu.
