Center for Human-Centric Command & Control Decision Making

A Member of US Army Center of Excellence for Battlefield Capability Enhancement (BCE), this center has a mission to provide the Army's Future Force with sensemaking models for a network. The center has the following approach:

• Develop cognitive constructs for sensemaking process
• Investigate opportunistic sensemaking process through “window of evolving tasks”
• Develop formal methods for sensemaking process
• Develop and test simulation models for sensemaking
• Develop sensemaking support models
• Apply sensemaking to information management at various levels---equivocality, sparsity, centric and /or collaborative decision and to improve sensemaking processes in complex, adaptive, and novel systems with asymmetrically adverse properties complexity, chaos, uncertainty, evolving contexts.
