The synthesis of teaching and research is fundamental to North Carolina A&T State University. To that end, the Division of Research & Economic Development (DORED) maintains a balanced and diverse portfolio of basic and applied research programs that are effectively integrated with undergraduate and graduate education.

Over time, these programs have evolved into a number of robust inter-disciplinary centers and institutes, specialized research laboratories and partnerships that sustain the University's core strengths and enhance its competitiveness.

The DORED strives to facilitate the productivity of research and sponsored programs activities for the entire university and to provide comprehensive support services for the development and administration of research and sponsored programs.

Our continuous aim is to create environmentally safe and socially responsible products and to improve the quality of life for everyone.
