Transportation Speaker, A&T Grad, Natalie Brown Bank of America's senior vice president-marketing communication manager, supply chain management, Natalie Brown, was the 2009 Summer High School Transportation Institute's keynote speaker. Brown delivered a motivating message to 20 young scholars and their parents at N.C. A&T's 17th Annual Opening Ceremony for the Summer High School Transportation Institute on June 24 in Stallings Ballroom. Explaining her journey from Greensboro's Dudley High School to A&T to corporate America, Brown gave students an honest assessment of how to prepare for the world-of-work. She encouraged them to take advantage of the Transportation Institute and to try new experiences. She highlighted the value of networking, extra-curricular involvements, and being better than the rest. "Chart your path, leverage your power, focus, and perform," Brown emphasized while thanking A&T professors in the School of Business & Economics for their rigorous academic training. The Summer High School Transportation Institute (STI) is a unique concept that creates an awareness of the attractive career choices and opportunities which exist within the transportation industry. STI students will be introduced this summer to theoretical and practical aspects of all forms of transportation.
