The approved 2009 University Holiday Schedule is provided for your operational planning. This Holiday Schedule takes into consideration the academic calendar. The schedule adopted by the State Personnel Commission for SPA and EPA Non-Teaching employees has been revised to meet the needs of the University. Please communicate this information to your employees and share the memorandum.

Please note that eight (8) hours should be charged to compensatory time, vacation and/or bonus leave for Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday, December 31, 2009. Employees should indicate these hours on their time sheet. The University will open for normal business on Monday, January 4, 2010. The state-approved holiday for New Year’s Day is observed on Friday, January 1, 2010.
Supervisors please reference the policy on Premium Pay for Holidays at http://www.osp.state.nc.us/manuals/html/holprem.htm and govern your units accordingly. The schedule will be accessible on the HR web-site. Should you have questions, please contact the Division of Human Resources at 334-7862.
