A&T's Theatre Program Gears Up For 2007-08 Season & Special Homecoming Performance

The Theatre Arts Program will kick off the new 2007-08 season on Oct. 11-21 with "Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters" by John Steptoe - a story about two beautiful daughters, one with a bad temper and one who is kind, and their attempts to marry the king. This award winning children's book is a memorable modern fable of pride going before a fall and keeps within the spirit of the African folktale.
Show times are as follows:
Oct. 11-14, 18-20 at 7 p.m.
Oct. 17, at 9:30 a.m.
Oct. 21, at 3 p.m.

Then on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m., the theater will present, "The Heart of Broadway" at Homecoming. This hot, hilarious, and hip Homecoming Cabaret performance will be the perfect fit for your homecoming activities, as the national award-winning Richard B. Harrison Players heat-up the stage with a variety of show-stopping Broadway performances.

The season will also include "Black Nativity" by Langston Hughes (Nov. 29-Dec. 2), "Pretty Fire" by Charlayne Woodard (Feb. 14-24) and "Medea" by Euripides (Apr. 10-20).
