AGGIES GO TO WASHINGTON
Distinguished Professor of Journalism and Mass Communications, DeWayne Wickham, led his class in a daylong visit to Congress on Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Washington, DC. They met with Tennessee Rep. Harold Ford, Jr., California Rep. Maxine Waters, and Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. The Journalism and Mass Communications students discussed media ethics with these members of the U.S. Congress, who had a lot to say about what they believe to be the ethical responsibilities of members of the media. Wickham is also a columnist with USA Today and Gannett News Service.
