My Heart Leads Me Astray


		        Am I such a bad person?
			Have I been throwing my life away?
			Sometimes i just wonder why
			My heart leads me astray.


		        It causes me to fall in love
                        Only to be disappointed in some way
                        And left all alone with no one to hold
			Why does it happen this way?


                        I am a woman, tride and true.
			I am a romantic whose in love with you.
                        I try to be subtle, I try to have tact,
                        But it seems I'm always being pushed back.


			As I sit in my room and hold back the tears
		        I wish you were here to take away all my fears.
			But I'll still hold on and keep going strong,
                        No matter how many times I'm treated wrong.

        
			I see the first star up in the sky
                        And wish that someone would not pass me by.
                        I wish that I might, I wish that I may
                        Learn why my heart always leads me astray.
