Vision Statement
The vision of the Office of Continuing Studies and Professional Development at North Carolina A&T State University is to provide the administrative management and coordination for all non-credit and community based programs for the university. The office will develop and establish, with the schools and colleges, a high tech training center which will be recognized state wide for expert and cutting edge professional training.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Continuing Studies and Professional Development (OCSPD) is to provide credit and non-credit classes, short courses, seminars, workshops, and conferences to business, industry and the community at large to meet personal and professional development needs. OCSPD works with academic departments to develop programming for the community and provides administrative management of that programming.
Purpose
The purpose of the Office of Continuing Studies and Professional Development is to extend the resources of the university to the community in accessible formats, and to assist in making the university a recognized expert resource for high tech, cutting edge information, professional development and training. OCS is the major unit of the university providing outreach to the community at large. In collaboration with the academic departments, schools and colleges of the university, OCS offers professional development programming through industry partnerships, high tech training seminars, short courses and workshops, and conferences.
Classes are scheduled in the evening, weekends, and online to accommodate schedules of working adults. Available courses include review courses for professional certification for engineers and purchasing agents, certificate programs, courses and workshops in partnership withprofessional certification associations, and workshops and conferences to help you improve quality and productivity.
