Technology education goes far beyond basic computer knowledge into the whole range of technological systems and ideas. It should not be confused with educational or instructional technology, which uses communication tools to enhance teaching and learning. In technology education, students will use a wide range of materials, tools and equipment (including computer technologies) to learn about the human-made environment we have created.
