Area of Specialization:

Mixing, dispersion, phase contacting, turbulence, Newtonian, non-Newtonian and multi-phase flow behavior, image processing for flow measurement, liquid/liquid dispersion, gas dispersion, power consumption, solids suspension, remote temperature measurement.

Gary Tatterson joined the department as a Full Professor in 1989. He previously served as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University (1979-88) and University of South Carolina (1977-79).

 He was named the departments Teacher of the Year for the 1998-99 academic year.
