The theme "From Generation to Generation" reflects the idea of one generation of Aggies supporting the next generation of Aggies.

$100 million Capital Campaign
In 2001 Chancellor James C. Renick appointed a Planning and Resource Council to do Strategic Planning.

North Carolina A&T's strategic vision - FUTURES - was born. This vision embraces the Interdisciplinary University model. The interdisciplinary model is an approach to education that aspires to further enhance our strong academic programs through curricular innovation, teaching across disciplines, and making "connections" for students so that solutions to societal problems are based upon expertise in more than one field.

Brief Case for Support

Council concludes A&T must:
  • Diversify its resource base

  • Enhance its curriculum to address changing educational needs

  • Build and renovate its physical plant with state-of the-art classrooms, facilities, and student housing

Why should alumni donate to N.C. A&T?

Giving back to your alma mater is a way of recognizing the value of your own education, and providing for today's students.

Consider these facts:

  • 84% of students are on Financial Aid
  • Only 12% of A&T alumni of record made a gift last year (3,175 out of approximately 27,000).
  • When founded, A&T was supported almost entirely by public dollars. At present, state support provides less than 35% of the funds needed to provide students with the high quality education to which the University is committed.
  • The State of North Carolina has cut $22 million from A&T's budget over the past three years
