Message from Dr. Edna Ragins
As you will discover, we offer one of the most dynamic,
progressive
and intellectually rigorous undergraduate business programs
in the country! Our students are active, engaged and
involved in
the university, the department
and the community. They are
leaders of student government, founders and organizers
of student
groups, and recipients of awards and honors.
Changes in technology, cultural diversity in the work place
and globalization of business practices now require a new set
of skills for top level managers and we are committed to preparing
our graduates to meet those challenges. Through our undergraduate
and graduate programs, we offer our students the opportunity
to become skilled professionals, with the training and expertise
to manage effective teams, to motivate people, and to build
strategies that can move organizations forward in a highly
competitive market. Our students learn to manage ethically
and creatively in both large and small firms. Our graduates
are prepared to seize opportunities and face the challenges
of tomorrow.
The Department of Business Administration’s activities
are directed toward the support of the mission of the School
of Business and Economics and North Carolina A&T State
University. This is achieved through a threefold focus:
(1) providing high-quality graduate and undergraduate academic programs and instructions
(2) conducting and publishing high quality basic and applied research
(3 )providing professional and public service to industry,
government, community, profession, and the university.
We bring students together with distinguished faculty in an innovative setting. The end result is that we produce critical thinkers capable of providing creative solutions to complex problems.
I invite you to review our academic offerings and to consider
a career in business!
