The Scholarship of Teaching, Learning, and Engagement

The resources below are intended to provide an introduction to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and the Scholarship of Engagement (SoE). This site is currently undergoing development (spring, 2010).

Selected Resources on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education - An Annotated Bibliography. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has compiled an extensive list of resources related to the scholarship of teaching and learning. As highlighted on Carnegie's web site:

The resources linked below provide a comprehensive look at the history of the scholarship of teaching and learning, background on the nature of the scholarship of teaching and learning, examples of the scholarship of teaching and learning in practice, and additional resources for those interested in participating in this scholarly activity.

Selected Resources on the Scholarship of Engagement

The Scholarship of Engagement (SoE) is an extension of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning that focuses on research bringing together academic coursework and community engagement, whether by faculty members or students. Resources will be added here during spring, 2010.
