Third Season
Saudia Roundtree begins her third season as head women's basketball coach at N.C. A&T.
Roundtree came to N.C. A&T from Morris Brown College, where she spent a season as an assistant and a season as interim head coach.
Under Roundtree's leadership at Morris Brown, the women's basketball team moved from Division II to Division I. Prior to becoming interim coach, she served as basketball director for Suwanee Sports Academy and organized Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) tournaments, individual camps for boys and girls and exposure camps.
An outstanding athlete, Roundtree played with the American Basketball League from 1996-98. The fiery point guard was drafted during the first round of the 1996 ABL Draft. She played on the Atlanta Glory and Nashville Noise teams where she was second leading scorer and was selected to the 1997 ABL All-Star Team. During that time, she also served as a women's sports commentator for Media One Communications.
An outstanding collegiate athlete, Roundtree was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference performer at the University of Georgia. During her junior season, she led the SEC in assists as point guard for the Lady Bulldogs. During her senior season, 1995-96, she won the Boost Naismith Award, given to the nation's best player under six feet, and was named as an Associated Press All-American. She led Georgia to the 1996 NCAA Women's Final Four. Before transferring to Georgia, Roundtree was a Junior College All-American and National JUCO Player of the Year in her two seasons at Kilgore Junior College.
Following her collegiate career, Roundtree signed a shoe endorsement with Reebok International, making her the first woman to have her own shoe with Reebok. The talented athlete has performed commercials with Pam Grier, Richard Roundtree and Don Cornelius.
Roundtree, a native of Anderson, SC, received an A.A. degree in criminal justice from Kilgore Junior College and a B. A. degree in sociology from the University of Georgia.

Assistant Coach
Second Season
Freddie Murray begins his second season as an assistant with the Lady Aggies. His duties include serving as the team's recruiting coordinator, monitoring the student-athletes' academic progress, and scouting.
Prior to his arrival in Greensboro, Murray served on the coaching staff at Jackson State University (JSU) as a graduate assistant and was later promoted as an assistant coach from 2001-03. He worked with the Lady Tiger post players along with handling academic advisement, film exchanges, recruiting, and scouting. In 2002-03, JSU finished with a record of 23-6 and a first place finish in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
In 1999, Murray founded Hoop Dreams, an Amateur Athletics United (AAU) girls basketball program. The team comprised a 55-10 record over three seasons, with three state AAU championships and three AAU national tournament berths.
Murray has also assisted with with basketball camps hosted by Jackson State University, University of Tennessee, University of Georgia, Mississippi State University, University of Mississippi, and Louisiana State University. He has served in camps run by former National Basketball Association player Terrell Brandon, Lindsay Hunter, and Erick Dampier.
A 1990 graduate of Jackson State University with a degree in business management, Murray has one son, Dedrick.
