Campbell Earns Second Victory Over Lady Aggies

GREENSBORO, N.C. - November 9, 2004 - Alissa Brackeen (11 kills, 15 digs) turned in a double-double, and Tabitha Turner led the Camels with 15 kills as Campbell (11-16) defeated N.C. A&T (10-17) 3-1 (30-25, 30-21, 20-30, 30-26) in non-conference volleyball action at Corbett Sports Center.

Campbell hit .192 for the match and held N.C. A&T to a .167 percentage. Rachel Templin hit .321 in putting down 13 kills. Sarah Dillon (25) and Tawnee Hensel (19) combined for 44 assists to keep the Lady Aggies off balance.  Crystal Sieber had a team high 17 digs, while Dillon chipped in with 14.

Arlene Mitchell posted 25 kills,11 digs, and three service aces to lead the Lady Aggies. Krystal Cooper also had a double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Lauren Walker had 16 digs to lead the defense, and Brendan Chatman set 42 assists on the evening.

The Lady Aggies honored senior Leinitia Williams on Senior Night, as she played in her final home match of the season. Williams had two kills and two assisted blocks on the night.

N.C. A&T will end the 2004 regular season this weekend, as they will play at Florida A&M (Friday, Tallahassee, Fla.) and Bethune-Cookman (Saturday, Daytona Beach, Fla.) Both matches will begin at 2:00 p.m. 

LADY AGGIES DEFEAT S.C. STATE

ORANGEBURG, S.C. - November 5, 2004 - N.C. A&T (10-16, 7-3 MEAC) made sure it would have its tenth regular season victory prior to the upcoming MEAC tournament, earning a 3-1 (30-25,30-28,23-30,31-29) victory over S.C. State in non-conference volleyball action at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Coliseum.

The two teams met in the season opener, as the Lady Aggies won 3-0 in the Corbett Sports Center, therefore this was designated as a non-conference match by the MEAC.

N.C. A&T will host Campbell University on Nov. 9 in Corbett Sports Center in their final home match of the season. It will also be the final home game for senior outside hitter Leinitia Williams. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m., after the Senior Night presentation.

N.C. A&T DEFEATED BY HIGH POINT

HIGH POINT, N.C. – November 3, 2004 – Jamie Kaufman had 15 kills to lead High Point to a 3-0 win over cross-county rival North Carolina A&T Wednesday night in volleyball action in the Millis Center.
The Panthers improved to 17-14 on the season, while the Lady Aggies dipped to 9-16.
Lindsey Pickens had 12 kills and 10 digs and Ashley Johnson added 10 kills for the Panthers. Kim Anderson tallied 13 digs to extend her streak of matches with at least 10 digs to 35 contests, good for fifth in the nation. 
Jenelle Stouffer had nine digs, while Heather Butt added 10 assists for HPU.
For the match, the Panthers tallied a .391 hitting percentage to A&T's .147. Kaufman hit at a .591 clip, while Pickens recorded a .455 percentage and added four aces.

Arlene Mitchell led the Lady Aggies with 13 kills. Darlene Mitchell led A&T defensively with 10 kills. Krystal Cooper added seven kills and four digs.

N.C. A&T FALLS TO #25 FLORIDA A&M

GREENSBORO, N.C. – October 31, 2004 – Adi Kostidinova led all attackers with 19 kills to pace #25 Florida A&M (20-2, 10-0 MEAC) to a 3-0 (30-15, 30-16, 30-26) victory over N.C. A&T (9-16, 7-4 MEAC).

Arlene Mitchell led the Lady Aggies with 11 kills, while twin sister Darlene Mitchell added eight kills. The pair also had seven digs apiece. Brendan Chatman dished 18 assists for the Lady Aggies, who have lost two in a row. 

Mariela Portocarrero set the Rattler offense with 42 assists, while three Rattlers had nine kills apiece. Florida A&M hit .417 for the match, including a .500 performance in game two. 

Andreina Ruiz recorded 15 digs to lead FAMU, which held N.C. A&T to a .142 hitting percentage, including a perfect .000 in game one. 

N.C. A&T will next play at High Point on Wednesday, November 3, at 7:00 p.m.

N.C. A&T VOLLEYBALL DEFEATED BY ELON

GREENSBORO, N.C. – October 27, 2004 – Emily Hayes had 17 kills and five service aces, while Emily Lucci turned in a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs to lead Elon (14-10) to a 3-1 (30-24, 27-30, 31-29, 30-25) victory over N.C. A&T (9-15) in volleyball action in Corbett Sports Center.

Hayes and Lucci combined for seven of the 17 Phoenix kills in game one. But the Lady Aggies took game two behind Arlene Mitchell (nine kills) and Brendan Chatman (four kills, 10 assists).

In the pivotal game three, the Phoenix trailed 29-25, but fought off four match points to tie the game, then got a kill from Britney Westphal and a solo block from Lucci to earn the set.

The Phoenix then cruised through the final set, breaking a 15-15 tie with five straight points served by Hayes. Lucci and Hayes landed two kills apiece down the stretch as Elon broke open the set with a commanding 28-20 lead. Hayes would later end the match on a pass from Natalie Moore, who finished the night with 31 assists.

Mitchell had a double-double with 21 kills and 15 digs. She also served six aces. Teammates Krystal Cooper (18 digs) and Lauren Walker (17 digs) posted seven kills apiece. Chatman finished with 35 assists, six kills and 11 digs.

The two teams were evenly matched throughout the contest, as they connected on 53 kills apiece. Elon had 25 attacking errors and 13 service errors, compared to N.C. A&T’s 27 and 13, respectively. The Lady Aggies recorded 14 service aces, compared to the Phoenix 12.  

The Lady Aggies will host #24th ranked Florida A&M University on Sunday, October 31 in the Corbett Sports Center. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m.

N.C. A&T VOLLEYBALL FALLS IN FIVE SETS TO BETHUNE-COOKMAN

Loss Ends Five Match Winning Streak

GREENSBORO, N.C. – October 23, 2004 -  Irie Cormier had 14 kills – including the final two of the match – to go with 13 digs and propel visiting Bethune-Cookman to a 3-2 (30-28, 26-30, 30-16, 30-28, 16-14) victory over N.C. A&T in volleyball action at Corbett Sports Center.

The Lady Wildcats (10-7, 7-3 MEAC) got 16 kills and 15 digs from Melissa Sanders, while setter Megan Myers dished out 40 assists. Jessica Martin led the visitors with a game high 17 digs.

N.C. A&T (9-14, 7-3 MEAC) had three players turn in double-doubles, but suffered 21 service errors in the match. Arlene Mitchell posted team highs of 26 kills and 14 digs, while teammate Krystal Cooper notched 16 kills, 11 digs, and three service aces. Setter Brendan Chatman had 50 assists.

The Lady Aggies will host Elon University on Wednesday, October 27 in the Corbett Sports Center. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

LADY AGGIES DOMINATE AT MEAC ROUND UP

N.C. A&T Finishes 5-1 at Round Robin

Princess Anne, Md. - October 26, 2004 - N.C. A&T finished up play in the 2004 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Round-Up with a 30-28, 30-23, 30-27 victory over Howard University.

N.C. A&T (9-12, 7-1) improved to 5-1 on the weekend as Krystal Cooper (17 kills and 10 digs) and Arlene Mitchell (14 kills and 13 digs) each recorded double-doubles. Brendan Chatman recorded 35 assists while Leinitia Williams had 10 kills and Lauren Walker had 10 digs.

Howard (6-20, 4-6) was paced by Kollin Hoskins team-high 13 kills and Kimberly Dexter's double-double (10 kills and 14 digs). Shannon Grant chipped in 37 assists in the loss.

Earlier in the day, the Lady Aggies knocked off Delaware State with a 31-29, 30-25, 30-21 win over Delaware State (DSU). 

DSU fell to 3-2 to close out the weekend as the north division plays only five matches, while the south division competes six times over the weekend.

Leading the way for N.C. A&T (8-12, 6-1) was Arlene Mitchell who had a match-high 18 kills to go along with seven digs. Krystal Cooper also recorded double-digit kills with 12 kills and 10 digs.

For Delaware State (7-18, 5-3), Laura Huculak recorded 15 kills and six digs, while Michael-Anne Gunsten had 11 kills. Dawn Alford totaled 34 assists and Desiree Abeyta had a match-high 16 digs.

DAY TWO

Lady Aggies defeat Hampton University in Lone Match of the Day

N.C. A&T defeated Hampton 3-0 on Day Two of the MEAC Volleyball Roundup. The Lady Aggies (7-12, 5-20) beat the Pirates by scores of 30-18, 30-28, 30-19.

Krystal Cooper had a double-double, leading N.C. A&T with 11 kills and 10 digs.  Arlene Mitchell had a near double-double, netting nine kills and 12 digs. Leinitia Williams and Darlene Mitchell each added eight kills.

Leading the way for Hampton (5-20, 2-6) was Sydnee Kell, who had a double-double, 10 assists and 10 digs. Chavanca Hoskins added seven kills and 10 digs for the Pirates.

DAY ONE

Lady Aggies finish 2-1 on the day, rally from 2-0 deficit to down Morgan State

N.C. A&T rallied from down two games to zero to win in five games over Morgan State. Morgan State won the first two games 30-27 and 30-26, before N.C. A&T rallied to win the final three games 30-27, 30-28, and 16-14.

N.C. A&T was led by Arlene Mitchell's match-high 26 kills and team-high 16 digs. Krystal Cooper also came up big in the win with 22 kills and 11 digs. Brendan Chatman chipped in a season high 56 assists.

Morgan State was led by Esther Johnson's team-high 17 kills, while adding 20 digs. Ashley Preston led the team with 22 digs and Junel Jeffries had 43 assists.

The Lady Aggies defeated Coppin State in straight sets, 30-23, 30-17 and 30-28.

Outside hitter Arlene Mitchell led the Aggies (4-1, 6-12) with 17 kills and four service aces. Krystal Cooper added 15 kills and 10 digs while Brendan Chatman chipped in with 40 assists.

The Eagles (0-6, 0-15) were led by Shauniece Stewart, who tallied eight kills and 11 digs in the loss. Setter Krystal Williams added 14 assists.
 

Maryland-Eastern Shore  opened the Round Up with a  30-26, 30-28, 30-22 victory over the Lady Aggies. Led by junior Jana Milin's second triple-double of the season, the Hawks improved to 9-12 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The Hawks dominated in the first game, but hung tough to pull out slim wins in the final two games. Milin recorded a team-high 14 kills, 10 digs and four service aces, to go along with 10 assists. In her first triple-double of the season she had double-figure stats in kills, digs and service aces.

Also contributing double-figures were Eriel Jeffery with 10 kills and Kate Smith with 28 assists.

N.C. A&T (4-12, 2-1) was led by Arlene Mitchell's game-high 19 kills and Brendan Chatman's 32 assists.

LADY AGGIES CRUISE BY NORFOLK STATE

Norfolk, Va., - October 12, 2004 - N.C. A&T made quick work of  host Norfolk State, winning 3-0 (30-19, 30-23, 30-22) in volleyball action at Echols Hall.

Arlene Mitchell posted match highs of 19 kills and eight digs for the Aggies (4-11), while Krystal Cooper had nine kills and Leinitia Williams had eight.

LADY AGGIES DEFEATED BY UNC ASHEVILLE

Greensboro, N.C., - September 28, 2004 -  Rose Butler led three Bulldogs in double figures with 14 kills, while setter Amanda Wiles finished two digs shy of a triple double as UNC Asheville defeated N.C. A&T, 3-1 (30-20, 30-26, 21-30, 30-24) in volleyball action at the Corbett Sports Center.

Wiles dished 40 assists and put down 10 kills to go with eight digs on the evening.  Teammate Enif Unlu notched a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs, while Talia Ogle had a team high 13 eight digs with eight kills.

Wiles hit at a .474 percentage on the night, while Butler hit .440, to key UNC Asheville, which hit .301 as a team over the four games.

Arlene Mitchell led the Lady Aggie attack with 19 kills, while teammate Krystal Cooper added 15. Lauren Walker provided much of the defense with 17 of the team's 52 digs. Brendan Chatman finished with 38 assists to go with seven digs.

The Lady Aggies played solid defense up front with nine team blocks, but could not overcome 23 attacking errors and 18 service errors in falling to their eighth straight defeat.

N.C. A&T will get several days off in order to prepare for the MEAC portion of the schedule, which continues with a rematch with Norfolk State on Oct. 12 in Norfolk, Va. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

LADY AGGIES TOPPLED IN FIVE GAMES BY CHARLOTTE

Greensboro, N.C. - September 24, 2004 - Charlotte University (10-4) earned a 3-2 (29-31, 30-25 33-31, 25-30, 15-10) victory over N.C. A&T (3-10) in non-conference volleyball action in the Corbett Sports Center on Friday night.

The match was close throughout, as neither team held a lead by more than seven points in the five games. 

After the two teams deadlocked at two games apiece, a 6-0 49er run in game five ended the match. Lisa Newell played a major part in the run, putting down a pair of kills and a block. A pair of attack errors sealed the loss for Lady Aggies, which lost their seventh straight match.

Abby Szlanfucht led the 49ers with 24 kills, while Lisa Newell put down 14 kills. Szlanfucht posted 10 digs, while setter Molly McDonald dished 54 assists.

N.C. A&T was led by Arlene Mitchell's 20 kills, while teammate Krystal Cooper added 10 kills and 10 digs. Brendan Chatman set 39 assists on the night, while Lauren Walker led the defense with 14 digs.

The Lady Aggies will be in action on Tuesday night against UNC-Asheville. Game time is set for 7:00 PM in Corbett Sports Center.

Appalachian State Sweeps Lady Aggies

Boone, N.C.- September 22, 2004 - Appalachian State hit .277 to North Carolina A&T's (3-8) .009 to improve to 7-5 on the season in a 3-0 (30-19, 30-18, 30-18) victory Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. Samantha Giudici finished with 11 kills to lead ASU. Amber Mangrum and Lorelle Rau split the setting duties finishing with 24 and 16 assists, respectively.

Dianna Thomas and Stephanie Panzer rounded out the three Appalachian hitters with double-digit kills with 10 kills each. The team finished with 45 total kills distributed among seven hitters.

Panzer was up on the block finishing with a pair of solo blocks and four total blocks on the night. Cali Cooper also had a stuff block.

Chrissy Finch dug 17 balls on the night to lead the team. Kali Rumberger finished the match with 14 digs

N.C. State Sweeps LAdy AGGIES

Raleigh, N.C. - September. 20, 2004 -The NC State volleyball team improved to 10-3 on the season Monday night with a dominating win over N.C. A&T at Reynolds Coliseum. Led by Adeola Kosoko, who finished with a team-high 10 kills, the Wolfpack defeated the Aggies by the scores of 30-26, 30-14 and 30-20. The loss drops A&T to 3-8 overall.

N.C. State jumped out to an early lead in game one, only to have the Aggies battle back toward the end. But it wasn't enough, as the Pack took the first contest, 30-26. The strongest effort for NC State came in the second game when it went on to a 12-1 run to close out the game behind the efforts of Kosoko with four kills and one block assist, as well as Emily Bertrand, who added three kills and chipped in one block assist. During the second contest, the Wolfpack enjoyed a .286 team attack percentage while the Aggies had a dismal -.094 attack percentage. Also, NC State took a 12-7 advantage in total blocks.

Two players finished with double-digits in digs for NC State, as Bertrand and Andrea Bentley tallied 13 and 11 digs respectively. Junior middle blocker Stefani Eddins, who transferred from North Carolina A&T, also stepped up for the Wolfpack, finishing with eight kills off a .500 attack percentage and three total blocks.

As for the Aggies, they finished the match with a team hitting percentage of -.042, while totaling 15 service errors on the night. Sophomore outside hitter Arlene Mitchell led A&T with 10 kills to go with seven digs.

N.C. A&T DROPS THREE MATCHES AT JAMES MADISON INVITATIONAL

Harrisonburg, Va. - September 18, 2004 - N.C. A&T (3-7) dropped three contests at the James Madison Invitational this past weekend, falling to host James Madison (30-20, 30-25, 30-20), Buffalo (30-20, 30-8, 30-13) and Campbell (30-27, 31-29, 16-30, 30-24). 

Outside hitter Arlene Mitchell was selected to the All Tournament team after leading the Lady Aggies with 45 kills. She also added 21 digs and six aces in the three matches.

Setter Brendan Chatman had an outstanding tournament, notching 87 assists in the 10 games.

N.C. A&T travels to Raleigh, N.C. to face N.C. State tonight at 7:00 p.m. 

GARDNER-WEBB WINS Over NC A&T in Straight Sets

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.
  - September 14, 2004 -  Gardner-Webb (3-5) picked up its third victory of the season with a 30-21, 30-26, 30-26 win over N.C. A&T (3-4) Tuesday night in Paul Porter Arena.

It did not take the Lady Bulldogs long to get on the board, as Melanie Custer assisted Ashley Pridgeon’s kill to give GWU the 1-0 advantage in the match opener. N.C. A&T tied the score at 1-1 before an Aggie service error gave the ‘Dogs the edge once again at 2-1. Gardner-Webb never relinquished the lead from that point on, rolling to the 30-21 win.

The second match was the most highly contested of the night, as there were seven ties and eight lead changes before three consecutive kills from Pridgeon, Lindsey Sutherland and Audra Harrison gave GWU the 15-12 lead. Gardner-Webb eventually extended the margin out to 18-13 and maintained a lead of at least two points until the final point gave the Bulldogs a 30-26 win.

In the third set NC A&T stormed out of the gates in an attempt to extend the match to four games. Arlene Mitchell put down three kills and a service ace to help push the Aggies to the commanding 10-3 lead. A Cornwall kill seemingly stopped the bleeding for Gardner-Webb and back-to-back kills from Audra Harrison brought the Bulldogs to within four at 12-8. A&T would
attempt to re-establish control of the game, pushing its lead back to six points at 17-11 before a resilient GWU lineup rallied for seven straight points to claim the 18-17 advantage and rode the momentum to the 30-26 win.

The Lady Bulldogs were paced by Pridgeon, who had a match high of 13 kills to go with two aces and five digs, while Cornwall added 10 kills and 16 digs. Harrison added eight kills and 11 digs and Sutherland  collected three solo blocks and five kills. Custer had 30 assists and 11 digs.

N.C. A&T got 11 kills, eight digs and four aces from Arlene Mitchell and Brendan Chatman ran the Aggie offense with 21 assists. Krystal Cooper added seven kills and five digs for A&T.

N.C. A&T TAKES OUT NORFOLK STATE IN MEAC MATCH

GREENSBORO, NC - September 11, 2004 - Krystal Cooper turned in her first career double-double with 12 digs and 10 kills, while teammate Arlene Mitchell had 12 kills to lead N.C. A&T (3-3, 2-0 MEAC) to a 3-0 (32-30, 30-18, 30-18) victory over Norfolk State in MEAC volleyball action at Corbett Sports Center.

The Lady Aggies struggled in game one and had to hold off two match points by the Spartans. Mitchell served the last five points, including a pair of aces, as N.C. A&T rallied. 

Cooper and Darlene Mitchell got the hosts rolling in game two, combining for seven of the team's 10 kills.  N.C. A&T jumped out to a 9-2 lead, forcing an NSU timeout. The Lady Aggie defense was key, holding the Spartans to just five kills and a -.286 hitting percentage. 

In game three, N.C. A&T took a 10-3 lead and kept the seven point lead through the remainder of the contest. 

Arlene Mitchell had 12 kills and six aces. Brendan Chatman dished 25 assists along with five kills.

Chanel Barnes led Norfolk State with six kills and teammate Angel Uy added 12 digs.

The Lady Aggies will travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. to take on Gardner-Webb University on Sept. 14 at 6:00 PM.

N.C. A&T DROPS NON-CONFERENCE MATCH AT EAST CAROLINA

GREENSBORO, NC - September 7, 2004 - Paige Howell put down a match-high 10 kills and East Carolina out-hit N.C. A&T (2-3), .101 to -.065 as the Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Aggies, 3-0 (30-17, 30-26, 30-22), Tuesday night in non-conference volleyball action at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum.

Johanna Bertini tallied 15 digs as ECU improved to 4-2 on the season.  The Lady Pirates blocked N.C. A&T, 9-6. Howell had five blocks in the match and hit. 304. Darlene Mitchell led the Lady Aggies with six kills and twin sister Arlene Mitchell added five kills.

ECU jumped out to a 10-4 lead in game one behind two service aces each from Pam Ferris and Abigail Parker. N.C. A&T came within 14-11, but Howell capped a 6-3 run with a kill giving the ECU a 20-14 advantage. Caitlin Daly's seven service points helped ECU finish game one with a 10-3 run.

The Lady Pirates overcame a 13-7 deficit to take game two, 30-26. N.C. A&T broke a 6-6 tie with a 7-1 run capitalizing on three Lady Pirate errors. The teams exchanged points until East Carolina broke a 25-25 tie. Howell had two kills down the stretch in the ECU win.

ECU broke a 10-10 tie in game three with a 9-2 run courtesy of five errors from the Lady Aggies. N.C. A&T came within, 19-16 after an attacking error by Wilson, but ECU stretched its lead to 22-16. Howell put the game away with two more kills including the final kill of the match giving the Lady Pirates the match.

N.C. A&T will host Norfolk State for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 3 p.m., in the Corbett Sports Center.

N.C. A&T VOLLEYBALL FALLS TWICE IN AGGIE CLASSIC

Team record drops to 2-2 on the season after finishing 1-2 in Invitational

GREENSBORO, NC – September 4, 2004 – N.C. A&T (2-2) dropped two contests in day two of the Aggie Classic, losing to Navy 3-1 (30-19, 30-17, 25-30, 30-18) and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi 3-0 (30-28, 30-17, 30-11) at the Greensboro Sportsplex.

Ashley Van Hartesvelt posted a double-double for Navy with 25 kills and 11 digs. Ashley Muller dished 40 set assists to lead the Midshipmen, who went undefeated at the Tournament with a 4-0 record. Navy held the Lady Aggies to a .009 hitting percentage, while landing 53 kills on a .197 percentage. Van Hartesvelt and Muller were selected to the All Tournament Team for their efforts.

Arlene Mitchell led N.C. A&T with 14 kills, while Brendan Chatman had 20 set assists. Both players were selected to the All-Tournament Team after notching season highs during the three games.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi survived a Lady Aggie rally to earn the first game, then cruised to the victory. Lauren Carter led the Islanders with an all around effort of 16 set assists, seven digs, six kills and six of the teams’ 12 service aces. Kati Broom and Lauren Smith had nine kills apiece to pace the Islanders offense, which hit at a .272 percentage for the match.

Darlene Mitchell led the Lady Aggies with seven kills, while Chatman recorded 14 set assists.  

Completing the All Tournament Team were Tabitha Turner (Campbell), Sarah Dillon (Campbell), Patricia Ortiz (Savannah State) and Satin Kinsey (Savannah State).

N.C. A&T pummeled Savannah State in their first match on Friday, 3-0 (30-18, 30-12, 30-5).

N.C. A&T VOLLEYBALL WINS SEASON OPENER

(Greensboro, NC) - 9/1/04 - Arlene Mitchell posted game highs of 10 kills and eight digs while Brendan Chatman added 24 set assists to lead N.C. A&T (1-0 overall, 1-0 MEAC) to a 3-0 (30-24, 30-26, 30-24) victory over S.C. State (0-1, 0-1). 

The Lady Aggies started quickly, jumping out to a 22-14 lead in game one and cruised to the victory, benefiting from 10 S.C. State errors. N.C. A&T then went on the offensive in game two, posting 17 kills and a match-best .344 hitting percentage. S.C. State put up a challenge in game three, closing to within 21-17. But Mitchell and teammate Leinitia Williams sealed the game combining for four kills, and the Lady Bulldogs hit three consecutive service errors to end the match.

Williams had nine kills, while Shea Stark added seven for N.C. A&T, who had a 20 percent killing percentage for the match. Lauren Walker added eight digs, and Krystal Cooper hit five of the Lady Aggies 15 service aces. 

Aubrey Posadas had seven kills and six digs to lead the Lady Bulldogs, while teammate Monique Walker added six kills and four digs. Charlene Pama and Samantha Clark posted seven digs apiece.

The victory is the first at N.C. A&T for new head coach Millicent Sylvan, who came in with a career mark of 70-42 from three seasons at Alcorn State. N.C. A&T will host the Aggie Classic on Friday and Saturday in the Greensboro Sportsplex.
