COURTNEY
STITH
HEAD BOWLING COACH
FIRST SEASON
Courtney Stith, a native of Toledo, OH, received a B.A. in business administration from N.C. A&T State University in 2003.
While a student at the university, Stith helped lead the team to three conference championships. During those championship runs, Stith was a 3-time All-Conference selection, singles, and doubles champion. The former student-athlete was also a member of the team in 2001 when N.C. A&T became the first HBCU to advance to the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships.
Stith, an avid bowler herself, admits that bowling was not always her first love. Courtney admits that she used to eat, sleep, go to school, and play basketball, but not necessarily in that order. Then, things changed dramatically. "All I do now are bowling related activities and I must first thank my grandfather and his Monday Night league." She first got her start as a scorekeeper before all alleys used automatic scoring machines. Over the years Stith began to experience success at the local and state levels and continued at the collegiate level. "I credit much of my success to my high school coach, Don Perryman and my collegiate coach, Jimmy Mack," she said.
In conversation with Stith you will feel her passion and commitment for the coming season. At this point Stith hopes that she may have a lasting impact on her players as her coaches have had and continue to have on her.
Stith has gargantuan goals for the upcoming season, but says that all of them are possible.
