
Chartered March 9, 1946, the North Carolina A&T University Foundation, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors and is managed by a professional staff. The Foundation supports North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s educational mission through a variety of investments. These investments provide a reliable source of funds for current and future endowments, scholarships, investments and expenses. More than $1 million is generated annually in restricted and unrestricted contributions and gifts from the private sector and other revenues.
Since 1891, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University has provided exemplary instruction, scholarly and creative research, and effective public service. Today, A&T offers baccalaureate, master's and doctorate degrees with emphasis on engineering, science, technology and the liberal arts. Both faculty and students conduct basic and applied research on campus, through inter-institutional partnerships and through public and private agencies.To foster and promote the growth, progress and general welfare of the university by receiving and administering gifts and donations for such purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, providing funds to help accommodate those needs for which state and/or state tax monies are not available.
To generate through-solicitations and promotions-gifts, grants and donations, to be used in helping the university to accommodate its needs and realize its goals.
To manage and administer the funds and properties of the foundation in keeping with those provisions so stated in the organization’s certificate of incorporation and bylaws.
