Greetings,

On behalf of the staff and cadets at Detachment 605, welcome to the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps website. While North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University serves as the host school for Air Force ROTC the Triad area, our program is also open to students from Bennett College for Women, Elon University, Greensboro College, Guilford College, Guilford Technical Community College, High Point University, University of North Carolina-Greensboro, Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University.

Detachment 605’s mission is to attract, educate and commission high achievers into the United States Air Force through instruction, development and application of leadership principles and the Air Force core values of integrity, service and excellence. We firmly believe in our mission and are dedicated to fulfilling this mission in the lives of today’s students. Detachment 605 provides the opportunity for cadets to go beyond their perceived potential and develop the highest levels of professionalism, values and leadership en route to promising careers in the world’s greatest air and space force.

If you are in the Greensboro area, you are welcome to stop by Campbell Hall on the North Carolina A&T campus (next to the airplane) so we can talk to you in person. Please accept my personal invitation to explore the many opportunities the United States Air Force has to offer.

Very Respectfully,

Robert Payne, Jr., Lt Col, USAF
Commander, AFROTC Detachment 605
