Web Support Services - Submitting a New Service Request

The Department of Information Technology and Telecommunication (IT&T) is available to help administrative departments create and manage their websites. To request assistance, please contact the University Helpdesk. Their contact information is available at http://helpdesk.ncat.edu. Please provide the following information when you call:

  • Your name
  • Your telephone number
  • Your e-mail address
  • Your department name
  • A brief description (2 or 3 sentences) of your request

The Helpdesk Representative you speak with will open a Service Request for you. The Service Request will then be forwarded to the Web Support Services Department. A member of the Web Support Services team will contact you to discuss the details of your request. Once we have reviewed your request, we will provide you with a target completion date.

Periodically, it may become necessary to bring in external assistance to provide website development support. In some cases, departments may wish to hire an external consulting firm to work on a website on a temporary basis. In other cases, business needs may indicate that the department hire a full-time web developer. Please notify Web Support Services if such needs arise. Web Support will work with you and the consultant(s) and/or staff member(s) to ensure that your new website integrates into the existing ITT infrastructure.

If you would like for us to place a document online, please provide us with a final, edited version in Word, HTML, Excel, or PDF format. We are unable to place works in progress on the website.
