Graduate Commencement

2017 Spring Commencement

In an effort to more richly celebrate the accomplishments of students earning their doctoral and master’s degrees, N.C. A&T will inaugurate a graduate student commencement ceremony this May. The new ceremony will take place separately from the main commencement ceremony, which predominantly recognizes undergraduate degree earners. It will feature all the ceremony associated with the hooding of the graduates, a traditional academic rite in which faculty members place special regalia over each graduating student’s robe as a symbol of the culmination of their studies. Both ceremonies will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Greensboro Coliseum, with the main ceremony beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the graduate ceremony starting at 1 p.m.
