The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Applications and Materials are available in the
Office of Student Activities Memorial Union - Suite 217
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTALS  December 17, 1999
The completed applications must be postmarked on or before the above deadline

Applicant Criteria:

• Must be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior student at NCA&T State University who has not been a previous recipient of the MLK Memorial Scholarship
• Must possess a clear judicial record
• Must show sound character and leadership qualities.
• Must possess a grade point average of 2.5 or above.
• Must have a significant record of service to the community (volunteer or work experience in the community at large or the university community).

Application Period/Timetable:

• Distribution of application materials  November 19th
• Application deadline date December 17th
• Committee review of Applications January 7th
• Committee interviews with top three applicants January 10th
• Notification to award recipient January 10th
• MLK program participation January 13th
