Ms. Wilson received her BS degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Marketing from East Carolina University and a MS degree in Adult Education from North Carolina A&T State University.  Ms. Wilson has over 20 years of experience working with underserved populations and managing grant-funded programs.  She is very active in her community serving as the Human Rights Commissioner for the state of North Carolina.  She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.  Ms. Wilson is a widow and has one daughter, Brooke.

Coradene Rutledge, teenrut@ncat.edu
Administrative Support Associate

 Coradene Rutledge has been serving the Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math & Science programs diligently for almost ten years.  She received her Associates Degrees from Rutledge College with a major in Computer Science and Brookstone College with a major in High-Tech Secretarial Services.  Ms. Rutledge has been certified in the various technical aspects of UNC Systems databases and program specific operational software. She is also a member of the National Notary Association.

Ms. McGirt has been serving with the Upward Bound programs since 1992.  Ms. McGirt attended Bennett College and studied Home Economics Education.  Ms. Girt has been certified in the various technical aspects of UNC Systems databases and program specific operational software.  Ms. McGirt is active and various community initiatives and most recently was nominated the SPA President on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.

Mr. James is a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University receiving his undergraduate degree in Mass Communications and is honored as a Hall of Fame as Coach in their Football Program.  He also received his masters degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Adult Education.  Mr. James career is stepped in coaching positions which he held at both WSSU and Coastal Carolina University.  He is married to his wonderful wife Phyllis Wharton-James, and resides in his hometown of Greensboro, NC.
