What is Student Support Services?
The TRiO Student Support Services Program is a federally funded program that provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and services to motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education.
Our program currently serves 200 AGGIES!
Selection for the North Carolina A & T State University Student Support Services (SSS) Program is partially based on students meeting at least one of the following federal requirements:
First-generation college students (which means that the parent/guardian has not earned a four-year college degree at the time of enrollment)
Students whose family income falls within the limits set by the U.S. Department of Education and verified by SSS
College students with documented disabilities
Financial Grant Aid – For Eligible Students (Active Freshmen Participants in Good Academic Standing)
Academic Support & Advising
Financial Literacy Education (Federal Mandate)
Career & Graduate School Exposure & Exploration
Community Service Opportunities (Contribute for C.A.S.E. hours)
Cultural/ Educational Enrichment Activities
Study Skills Workshops
Summer Bridge Program
