Minimum Requirements:

  • Student must have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or greater

  • Student must have an attempted hour/earned hour completion rate of 80 percent:  Unless the student is a double major or a transfer student, he/she should not have attempted more than 126 hours

  • Student must be enrolled full-time (undergrad-12hrs, graduate-9hrs) in the current session to be eligible for employment. (For summer sessions, if not enrolled in a summer session you must be registered for the upcoming fall semester).

  • Student must have a good judicial standing as determined by  the University Student Conduct Office

  • Student must submit a current academic schedule

  • Student must submit a completed application for employment (Only applications that have been typed and signed will be accepted)

  • Student must submit an unofficial transcript

  • Student must submit a typed resume

Aggie Escort Shuttle Service

A safety shuttle service for students who live on-campus as well as some select off-campus housing.  Calls received are recorded and dispatched to the driver on duty who will then pick up and drop off student passengers.   Dispatchers also serve as a backup for the Information Desk area.  Drivers must maintain contact with the Dispatcher, Student Center staff and University Police for added safety measures.  The Aggie Escort position will require skills and responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Recordkeeping
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Telephone etiquette
  • Time management abilities
  • Vehicle inspection
  • Report any accidents or incidents with the vehicle or customers
  • Enforce all policies and procedures for the aggie escort shuttle service

 

Information Desk and Recreation Room Attendant

Serves as the point of contact for customers that enter into the Student Center.  Responsible for keeping the area in order, working with customers, signing out recreation room equipment and scheduling the conference room.  This position will require skills and responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

  • Recordkeeping
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Time management abilities
  • Enforce all policies and procedures for the lounge, conference room and recreation room
  • Attentive to your environment
  • Assist administrative staff when necessary
  • Flexible in job duties and responsibilities
  • Report missing inventory or damaged or broken items
  • Knowledgeable of services provided
