Lake Laosebikan-Buggs, Ph.D.

Dr. Laosebikan-Buggs provides overall direction and guidance to the Office of Student Activities. She supervises all professional student affairs staff within the office, as well as serving as the point person to the campus community related to issues on student life, co-curricular involvement and assessing and documenting student leader learning.

Nichole R. Florence
Director for Campus Programs & Special Projects

Nichole Florence has served in administrative roles within Student Activities for 7 years. She joined the North Carolina A&T family in 2008. As the Director of Campus Programs she is primarily responsible for coordinating, planning, and implementing major programs within the Division of Student Affairs.
Ms. Florence provides direct oversight to the Student University Activities Board (SUAB) and serves as the Campus Coordinator for the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge program. Ms. Florence’s position serves as the lead for Lyceum Committee, Homecoming Committee (Student Activities), MLK Sub-Committee, Summer Programs, College Tours, and Special Projects. She coordinates events such as the MLK Commemorative Program featuring Roland Martin, Dr. Steve Perry and Lasana Hotep; Lyceum Series Golden Dragon Acrobats, Complexions Ballet, Mary Mary Homecoming Concert, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Step Afrika, Tasha Smith, and etc. During her tenure here she has also established and implemented the first Executive Student Leadership Gala sponsored by SGA and SUAB.
Ms. Florence is a graduate of Hampton University. She enjoys mentoring students and helping them develop leadership skills which will empower them to make an impact on today’s global society.
Christina Garrett
Executive Assistant to Greek Life

Ms. Garret is a recent graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and has transitioned into the Office of Greek Life to assist in providing support to the recognized Greek organizations currently active on campus. She administers to the everyday operations of Greek Life and is always available to answer any questions that prospective members may have about joining an organization. She is an enthusiastic member of the staff who strives to reveal the potential in all students as Student Activity leaders did for her years ago.
Marie Lawson Humphrey

Ms. Humphrey and her spouse Alonzo (now deceased, 2010) relocated to Kernersville, North Carolina from Columbia, South Carolina where she worked at Benedict College as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement. In July, 2005 she began working at NCA&T State University first, with the University Events Center as the office manager/scheduler. She is presently our office manager and liaison for student workers. She also answers most of the incoming calls, and greets visitors and students who are in need of assistance. Her other duties include working with our budgets, purchases, office equipment and supplies. Ms. Humphrey is a graduate of Philadelphia Community College in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Voorhees College in Denmark South Carolina; she is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
Shauna Y. Irwin
Director of Student Organization Leadership, Management and Development

Shauna is a graduate of Saint Augustine’s College where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Additionally, Ms. Irwin holds a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from the University of Buffalo. She is directly responsible for student organizations and can assist you with questions about how to start a new organization, how to effectively use OrgSync, or any other student organization related questions. She serves as the primary advisor to the Council of Presidents (C.O.P) and coordinates events like the Organizational Fair, the Leadership 101 Series, and workshops related to student organization development. Ms. Irwin serves on a myriad of committees throughout campus, and is currently co-chair of the University-wide Homecoming Committee. She has a diverse background in Student Affairs and has been active with numerous national and professional organizations. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., active in her church and throughout the community. Ms. Irwin is an avid dancer and enjoys all things related to M&M candies.
Wyndon W. Knight

Mrs. Knight has supported the Student Government Association Office for over 11 years. She is responsible for processing Student Government requisitions, contracts, travel, and etc. She is also responsible for reception, Student Government Officer Communications, scheduling meetings, filing, and various administrative duties.
Jasmine L. McInnis, MS AEd

Jasmine is the new Director for Student Government. He is an alumnus of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, where he received a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Women’s Studies and a minor in English and completed a Master’s Degree in Adult Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration in Fall 2012.
Mr. McInnis can answer questions about Student Government, Royal Court, and several areas of etiquette (i.e. dress, food, social graces, etc.). He coordinates events like the Coronation of Mister & Miss North Carolina A&T State University, and the End of Year Gala. Jasmine serves on several university committees, and is an accomplished pageant coach. He is committed to producing world renowned leaders committed to achievement, excellence, and servitude. He oversees the SGA Executive Board, Senate, Royal Court, the Class Officers Association, and is the Senior Class Advisor.
LaShanda Y. Hague, MS AEd

LaShanda is responsible for providing assistance to the Executive Director; Dr. Buggs. She is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, where she completed her Master’s Degree in Adult Education with concentrations in Higher Education Administration and Human Resources in Spring 2011.
