David Kimbro, Vice President of External Affairs

Picture of VP for External Affairs David KimbroAs a junior Computer Science student from Atlanta, David Kimbro is an extremely passionate and dedicated student leader. David has served within the Student Government Association since his freshman year. David served as the Freshman Class President under The Ogletree Administration, Sophomore Class President under the Greene Administration, and is continuing his service as the Vice President of External Affairs under the current Tate Administration.

On campus, David is involved in numerous organizations including the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), and a number of other extra-curricular activities. This past summer, David also had the opportunity to serve as one of the youngest cyber-advisory interns at one of the Big Four accounting firms, KPMG LLP.

David looks forward to representing his peers with dignity by being a liaison between the students and the university. While voicing their concerns and needs, he also plans to create innovative ways for the students to give back to the institution and outside the community.

Upon receiving his Bachelor’s degree in 2019, David plans to pursue a graduate degree in Cybersecurity. After his educational goals are achieved, David would like to begin his career in Silicon Valley at an innovative tech company, while being heavily involved in the community.
