Meet Emani Terry , Vice President of External Affairs

A native of the peachy state Atlanta, Georgia, Emani J.L. Terry humbly serves as the SGA Vice President of External Affairs. She is the daughter of Toni and Darryl Terry and sister to Darryl Terry II. Terry is a senior currently obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Mass Media Productions, as well as a minor in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Dance.

While at North Carolina A&T, she has become immersed into the Aggie family by participating in various students organizations and community outreach. Such organizations include National Association of Black Journalists, VERGE Modeling Troupe, E. Gwynn Dance Company, Residence Hall Association, New Student Programs, Student University Activities Board, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Lady B.U.G.S. Mentoring Program and now Student Government Association under the Ogletree Administration. Participation in these organizations highlight on her hobbies and interest which include various facets of performing arts particularly dancing, eating especially cheesecake, and traveling on adventures. With these organizations and personal interest, she has been able to interact with the Greensboro community through mentorship and community outreach.

As the Vice President of External Affairs she hopes to carry out her platform of “Reviving the T.R.U.E. HBCU Experience” by modeling tradition, respect, unity and excellence. Her hopes are to help position the university in a place to become globally recognized and competitive as we promote the success of our beloved institution. Also, the goal is to reach out into the community and externally in various facets to expose A&T students to various opportunities to prepare them personally and professionally upon graduation, while gaining the best college experience they can at this illustrious university.

Upon obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree, Terry hopes to earn a career with a production crew as a producer, editor or director in television or film. Also, she will obtain a Master degree in Business to open her own dance studio. With her experience and determination, her philosophy is that as long as she impacts at least one person a day, she has fulfilled her purpose on earth.
