Meet Byron Hannah, SGA Treasurer
A native of Fort Washington, Maryland, Byron Hannah has the esteem pleasure of serving as the Treasurer for the 2016-2017 academic school year. He is a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education (Mathematics Education). He thrives solely on academics, student leadership, and community involvement. He previously served as the Junior Class Treasurer in the Student Government Association for the 2015-2016 academic school year and as a Resident Assistant in Cooper Hall for two years. He is currently a proud member of the Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and a Resident Assistant in Blair Hall. With these positions and involvement on campus, he has been able to accomplish his mission in positively impacting fellow Aggies as they matriculate through their undergraduate years.
As the Treasurer, he plans to handle the Student Government Association’s funds with great honesty and integrity. During his time in office he plans to educate the student body on financial literacy and its importance in today’s society. He also hopes to find ways to help student entrepreneurs gain exposure on and off campus by hosting stimulating programs.
With his dedication to education and youth success, upon graduation he plans to teach middle school mathematics in Montgomery County, Maryland. While teaching, he aspires to earn a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Supervision at the University of Maryland College Park and become a Principal in Montgomery County, Maryland.
