Tylik McMillan, SGA Attorney General

Picture of SGA Attorney General Tylik McMillanA native of Lawrenceville, Virginia, Tylik M. McMillan humbly serves as the Student Government Association Attorney General. He is the oldest son of Monica D. McMillan and Terelle J. Harvey. Tylik has three siblings: Jusiah, AJ, and Kayden. Tylik is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.

While at North Carolina A&T, Tylik has become immersed into “Aggie Land” by participating in various student organizations. McMillan has served as an Orientation Student Leader for New Student Programs and currently serves as a Resident Assistant for Housing and Residence Life.

He is currently a part of many organizations and community programs outside of school, including serving as a National Youth Activist for the National Action Network under the leadership of the Rev. Al Sharpton. While serving in this role, he helps to promote the modern civil rights agenda. Tylik was also the recipient for the “Youth Activist of the Year Award” presented by Rev. Sharpton and the National Action Network. Tylik is a millennial who believes in the quote given by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter”. Hence, Tylik is determined to be the voice of the voiceless, and the helping hand to the oppressed. In addition, Tylik serves as the Black Caucus Chairman for the College Democrats of North Carolina, and as the North Carolina Coordinator for the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation.

Tylik is an individual who believes he was “created to create, and inspired to inspire”. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Virginia, where he is an associate minister under his pastor. Tylik has been preaching and giving motivational messages across the east coast for the past 3 years. He has career goals in politics and plans on being a future State Senator, or maybe even the next President of the United States of America.
