Aniya Leigh Bradsher, Miss N.C. A&T State University

Picture of Miss A&TMiss North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, for the 2017-2018 academic school year is Ms. Aniya Leigh Bradsher. Aniya is a native of Burlington, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Lawrence L. Bradsher Jr., and April L. Bradsher. Aniya is the oldest of two siblings: Aysia, and Lawrence L. Bradsher III. Ms. Bradsher is a Senior, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

While attending North Carolina A&T, Aniya has been actively involved in various organizations. Along with the Student Government Association, she is a part of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, Golden Key Honors Society, Psi Chi Honors Society, and the Alpha Kappa Mu Honors Society. Ms. Bradsher has also worked as an effective Resident Assistant, and mentor for the students who resided on campus during the 2016-2017 academic school year. Additionally, Ms. Bradsher serves as a dance instructor, and mentor at the Centre of Performing Arts in Graham, North Carolina. As a mentor, she loves motivating students to reach their fullest potential, along with promoting growth amongst individuals. She encourages her students to live by the quote, “Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.

Aniya stands on the platform of “It’s T.I.M.E. to Shine: Transparency, Inclusion, Mentorship, and Enhancement.” As Miss A&T, she is passionate about continuing the legacy of service within the Greensboro and Aggie Community. Aniya plans to impact the Aggie community by empowering the students of the University, and the surrounding community to take advantage of each opportunity afforded in life to achieve the highest degree of success. Her daily mentality is it’s T.I.M.E. to shine.

Ms. Bradsher has aimed for high scholastic achievement and has consistently made the Dean’s list each semester while attending North Carolina A&T State University. Upon graduating with a degree in Psychology, she plans to further her education by attending Law School, with a concentration in family law.

Her favorite scripture is:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
