Meet Myja Gary, Miss N.C. A&T State University
Myja Gary, born on May 22, 1994, is from a small town called Chester, Virginia. Myja is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gary. She has three brothers, Mariel, Brey, and Chazz. Myja is a senior Journalism and Mass Communication student with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she serves as Miss North Carolina A&T State University for the 2015-2016 academic school year. Additionally, she is the copy editor for the award-winning Ayantee Yearbook and a reporter for the A&T Register. Additionally, she serves as Vice President of Print for the National Association of Black Journalists for the 2015-2016 academic school year. Myja is an active member of Phi Kappa Phi and Golden Key International Honor Societies and will graduate with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, in May 2016. She loves reading, writing, shopping, getting pedicures, eating ice cream, hanging out with friends and family, and giving back to the community. After graduation, she plans to obtain her Master’s in Public Relations at New York University. She aspires to land an editing job with a well-known magazine and ultimately, publish and produce her own magazine. She lives by the motto:
