Student Organization Awards

Student Organization of the Year Award 

This award is given annually to recognize a student organization that has been a leader among the more than 120 recognized student organizations at A&T. This award is presented to the organization that has been responsible for major contributions in the areas of service, programming, and leadership while demonstrating true excellence among its peers within the University community.

  • Be a  recognized and currently registered student organization in good standing with the Council of Presidents (COP) and the Office of Student Activities and Campus Involvement (OSA)
  • Organization had a significant positive influence on A&T and the surrounding community
  • Must have provided programs that promoted interaction among the members and the University community
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in the fulfillment of its purpose and goals, and the A&T community
  • Organization must be free of disciplinary or probate sanctions for at least three years.

Outstanding Organization Community Service Award
Awarded to the student organization and its membership who have made service an integral part of their college experience by their significant contributions to the community.  The organization’s efforts should have built partnerships between the campus and community, yet demonstrate personal reflection and a commitment to lifelong engagement.  

  • Be a recognized and currently registered student organization in good standing with the Council of Presidents (COP) and the Office of Student Activities and Campus Involvement (OSA)
  • Have conducted an outstanding one-time or multiple community service programs throughout the year
  • Have diligently served the Aggie community through service to others
  • Have demonstrated an innovative and/or creative outreach to the campus or outside community which resulted in bringing the University together.

T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) Award

The award will be awarded to the organizations that have collaborated on many programs to meet the needs of the A&T community. This award is presented to no more than four student organizations/ groups.

  • Be a recognized and currently registered student organization in good standing with the Office of Student Activities and Campus Involvement (OSA)
  • Have conducted an outstanding program in collaboration with another leader or recognized Council of Presidents (COP) organization
  • Have exhibited team work and collaboration in all aspects of the event
  • Have shared responsibilities among participants with a commitment to a common goal
