Mr.Gerald Spates, MSC Director: Mr. Spates has over 15 years of experience in higher education working at various institutions providing leadership in a broad range of administrative and faculty positions directly impacting campus-wide curriculum and programming related to cultural and diversity training, community building, leadership development, race relations and recruitment, and retention. Ms. Jennifer M. Kennedy, MSC Office Manager: Ms. Kennedy graduated from NC A&T with a B.S. in Business Management. She has 8 years of event planning experience and worked with the University both as a student and staff before coming to the MSC in 2008. Ms. Kennedy will obtain her MBA in Management this June. Ms. Manuela Sanchez, Scholar’s Latino Initiative Coordinator (SLI): Ms. Sanchez has been with the Multicultural Student Center since April 2012 serving as the coordinator of the Scholar’s Latino Initiative (SLI) Program. She is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.S. in International Business. Past and current professional experiences have included working with the Randolph County Family Crisis Center as a Victim Advocate and Client Services Coordinator and currently with Guildford County Schools - Pre-K Department. She is responsible for coordinating this mentoring program that serves talented Latino high school students from Ben L.
