Minimum Requirements for Band Auditions

For your audition, you must have the following: 

  • 12 major scales and arpeggios
  • a prepared piece (something demonstrating lyrical and technical playing)
  • chromatic scale 
  • sight-reading*

We do accept mail-ins (audio or video)  | Click here for scholarship information.

*Sight-reading is not assessed in this process.
