We are excited about this year’s parade. While having fun and being entertained are the primary goals of the parade, safety is our number one concern. In order to assure safety, all parade entrants are required to pass through our police security checkpoint on the morning of the parade.

In addition, all floats must pass a safety inspection by our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Office prior to the parade start time. If you have a non-A&T sponsored float, you will be required to sign a liability waiver. The waiver form is on the back of the application. Also, throwing candy or other items from the parade will not be permitted. If you would like to hand things out, you must have a walker who will go out to the spectators to place items in their hands.

Please keep in mind that the University reserves the right to deny entry in the parade to any group or float that exhibits lack of cooperation or safety precautions. It is our goal to have a fun and safe parade.

All entrants and organizations are required to attend one of two mandatory meetings. During the meetings, you will receive your parade permit and signs (if applicable), as well as, parade day logistics. Entrants will receive information regarding mandatory meeting times and locations after application has been approved.
