Consultation

Departments or units may request consultation sessions with the Office of Student Affairs Assessment to pose assessment related questions, solicit assessment planning feedback, and receive guidance through the completion of their planning process. You can request assistance at any point of the planning process. We also offer support with configuring learning or program outcomes that align with your intended data collection expectations for the academic school year. Data Analysis

The Office of Student Affairs Assessment offers data analysis for departments and units within the Division of Student Affairs. We offer the option to provide qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and data reports for individual assessment projects conducted by faculty and staff of the Division of Student Affairs. There are two methods of receiving the data analysis service: (1) For electronic submission, please include your data collection instrument in the description section of the assessment service request protocol, and (2) for paper survey submission, please adhere to the paper survey analysis directions. Instrument Development

The Office of Student Affairs Assessment offers the development of data collection instruments to accurately measure learning or program outcomes for your department or unit within the Division of Student Affairs. When requesting services for instrument development, you have the option of requesting the development of a new instrument or the reconstruction of an existing assessment tool. The requested assessment tool will be developed with data analyzing software (e.g., Qualtrics or Taskstream). Please adhere to the assessment service request protocol for instrument development. Program Review

The Division of Student Affairs should complete a comprehensive program every 5 years. The purpose of the review is to thoroughly assess the effectiveness of programs and services in order to improve practices and guide the planning process. Program review is organized by the procedures and standards explained by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education. Departments who adhere to external accreditation by a national organization may use those processes in lieu of the review. Request a Program Review Session!

Training/Workshops

The Office of Student Affairs Assessment provides educational/professional development workshops and training sessions for the Division of Student Affairs. These presentations focus on multiple assessment methods and practices (e.g., data collection, taking the fear out of assessment, data visualizations, etc.) To schedule an educational training or workshop with the Office of Student Affairs Assessment, you must adhere to the assessment service request protocol.
