Research processes and procedures
Research at N.C. A&T is conducted in accordance with the university's policies and under the research policies of the University of North Carolina system.
The Office of Research Compliance and Ethics has responsibility for coordinating the work of the university's Institutional Review Board, which has authority over research involving human subjects; Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, which has authority over research involving animals; Biosafety Committee; and Radiation Safety Committee. It also has responsibility for matters involving adverse events, conflicts of interest, export control, research misconduct, responsible conduct of research, and unanticipated problems.
