Highlights of developments in research at N.C. A&T during the month of April 2012:
The N.C. A&T grant of the month for March: Autonomic small satellite systems
- One highlight was a grant worth $148,000 from NASA to Dr. William Edmonson, Langley Professor of Electrical Engineering, for research in support of the National Institute of Aerospace. Includes the complete list of grants received in March.
Random reviews of IRB protocols to begin
- The Office of Research Compliance and Ethics has established a committee to conduct random, not-for-cause reviews of approved IRB studies to support quality assurance efforts for the protection of human subjects.
2012 Research Excellence Award winners
- Five outstanding faculty researchers and an interdisciplinary team were honored in April with Research Excellence Awards.
Undergraduate research winners announced
- The winners were students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, Department of Industrial Engineering, and Department of Agribusiness, Applied Economics and Agriscience Education. Abstracts of all submitted posters are here.
